Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship For Young Nigerians is an initiative created to chair the goals and aspirations of Nigerian youths.

The motive of the group is in alliance with those created by Youth Leadership Series (YLS), Higher Institution Football League (HIFL) among others.

The opportunities provided by this initiative seek to foster hard work and academic excellence amongst Nigerian undergraduates.

The scholarship program is open to students who have sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and have been successfully admitted into any Nigerian Federal or State University.

According to The Chief Executive Officer of the Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, Dr. Demola Sogunle

“Education empowers and encourages the youth to prepare for the future while also confronting challenges. Education is a  panacea for the growth and enduring development of any nation or organization.”

Mandates of the Scholarship

Candidates who are awarded this scholarship are expected to maintain a specific status and Degree Programme throughout their stay on the Varsity. Any beneficiary whose enrollment status should change from the initial one he or she was admitted to during application, automatically loses the scholarship.

Candidates who are relatives to employees at The Stanbic IBTC Holdings are not awarded the opportunity to apply for this Scholarship.

Stanbic IBTC Holdings has the right to forbear any applicant from participating in the Scholarship at their discretion.

Candidates are entitled to just one slot of the Scholarship during application. Candidates who make multiple similar entries during application stand a chance of losing the scholarship entirely

Requirements for eligibility

• Any Candidate applying for this program must have the following
• Sat for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
• Gained Admission into any reputable Nigerian Federal or State University

Required Documents

• Recent Passport Photographs
• Valid Identification Card
• UTME Result
• O’Level ( WAEC, NECO or GCE) Statement of Result or Certificate
• JAMB or University Admission Letter

Scholarship Duration and Reward

The organization recognizes the significance and influence of education in the life of every Nigerian youth. The scholarship fund which is worth ₦40M was made available to buttressn youths into deeper grounds spanning for an average of four academic years.
