How does the programme work?
Start your Commercial career with some of the most iconic brands in the world. Taking iconic, timeless brands like Baileys, Guinness and Smirnoff and finding them new generations of shoppers, new untapped markets, new reasons to be purchased, and new places to be sold.
You’ll be immersed in the sales & mrketing process from the beginning. You’ll spend time building relationships with Diageo partners and working with customers to improve sales. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our brands are successfully promoted, readily available and well presented to anyone who wants to buy them.
Over the two-year rotation programme, you’ll have an opportunity to excel in areas across our Commercial Sales teams such as Field Sales, Account Management, Customer Marketing, Shopper and Customer Activation, Innovation and Reserve. You’ll discover everything you need to know about our brands, our competitors, the market and customers.
There may be the opportunity to relocate to another exciting part of our organization within Nigeria either during or after the programme.
Throughout the programme, you’ll have a combination of formal training with a global leadership curriculum, mentoring and coaching from respected colleagues and, most importantly, real world, on-the-job experience. From the beginning you’ll be working on projects that will develop and improve your skill set. You’ll be able to make a real contribution to the business while building a global network of relationships that will support your career, both now and long into the future.
Who are we looking for?
- A minimum qualification of Second-Class Lower Bachelor’s degree or Lower Credit Higher National Diploma
- Must have completed NYSC in the last 18 months
- Excellent communication, numerical & analytical ability
- Mobile and prepared to move/relocate to any part of the country during the 2-year programme
- Demonstrates a high level of curiosity
- Valid Driver’s License
