It is known as the second oldest member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. It is also the second-largest university in the state and has over 123,000 living alumni worldwide.

Entry Requirements
- Students must meet the general country or study curriculum entry requirement.
- Students must show English language skills and fulfill the general admission criteria following the country/curriculum you studied.
- If you are in the top half of your high school class, you will be admitted to Minnesota State University, Mankato (with 15 or higher ACT composite) OR, you have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (with 15 or higher ACT composite) OR. You achieve a 21 or higher composite score on the ACT exam (with a 2.7 GPA)

Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be an international student.
- Open to all new undergraduate students
- The mentioned criteria must be fulfilled to maintain the scholarship beyond their first academic year.
- Must maintain valid F-1 or J-1 immigration status
- Must achieve a term GPA of 2.5 or a cumulative Minnesota State Mankato GPA of 3.0
- Successfully earn/complete a minimum of 12 credits each semester (completed credits are grades A-D and P. F, W, I, IP, and NC do not count)
- Must complete six community service projects each academic year
