Dumela Corp is seeking a Head of Business Development & Operations.As a Head of Business Development & Operations, you will grow business with new and existing customers and help develop and execute the strategy and adoption of Dumela Corp positioning across our client base.

You will work closely with the customers, industry stakeholders and internal team members at Dumela Corp. The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about IT outsourcing, Global business landscape and emerging markets, is comfortable with and enjoys the complexity of policy, technology and economics, is highly organized, self motivated, is a hands-on “doer”, has demonstrated success with enterprise sales, and can translate complex subject matter into the succinct benefits to sell Dumela Corp Solutions to executive level prospects.

The ability to organically establish new customer relationships, bring in prior customer relationships, grow business from existing customers, collaborate internally and communicate customer needs effectively will be critical to success in this role. This role reports directly to the Executive Vice President (EVP) Customer Success.

Key duties and responsibilities

Your responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Dumela Corp executive team to develop, support and execute multi-year business development strategy.
  • Securing and leading senior-level customer meetings and performing customer discovery to understand true needs and pain points.
  • Growing business from new clients as well as existing or prior clients.
  • Managing and directly leading RFP responses.
  • Managing the end-to-end sales cycle from lead to post-contract customer fulfillment.
  • Partnering with internal teams and external partners to pursue and close new sales.
  • Negotiating contractual terms for new and existing customer contracts.
  • Travelling, attending industry events and representing the company as needed.

Basic qualifications:

  • 5+ years of business development and sales roles with strategy development, proposal creation, quota delivery, and program/project management experience.
  • Direct experience within technology sales, with IT or Enterprise experience as a plus.
  • Track record of building strong client relationships with large organizations, as well as identifying opportunities to deepen those relationships and grow the business.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to turn analysis into useful strategic insights, to drive customer engagement, and take appropriate action to secure business.
  • Exceptional skills in MS PowerPoint and Word, strong capabilities with Excel.
  • High attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several complex engagements simultaneously.
  • Comfort and experience selling to and closing contracts with senior/executive level personnel.
  • Building and energy experience or consulting experience is a plus.
  • MBA/Masters is required.
