Fishbowl challenge is an intense 6-month business planning competition to tackle some of the world’s most important challenges.
HOW IT WORKS
- Join a team of 4 fishbowls. The team must have a physical presence of members from at least 2 continents around the world.
2. The team will come up with an idea to solve important global issues chosen from any of the 5 focus areas.
3. Develop a business plan and present in 3 increasing selective rounds in front of judges. You will be supported by mentors during this process.
4. A successful team will have access to a $50K cash prize for their startup.
Student teams will make contributions to some of the most pressing issues of our time, adding their voices and bringing real change in these 5 categories:
- Health
- Education
- Economic Empowerment and Social Justice
- Environmental Protection
- Renewable Energy

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Kindly take note of the following eligibility requirements before beginning your application.
- The Fishbowl Challenge is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in a university/college, and those who have accepted admission into a university/college as at September 1, 2020.
- Applicants from all around the world are welcome to apply
- Applicants must be conversant with the English language as it would serve as the primary language during the competition.
- A recommendation will be required for each applicant. Applicants must submit the name and contact details of a recommender. Recommenders cannot be a family member or friend, but professional recommendations are welcome from your networks in high school, university, or any other projects you’ve taken part in.
- Recommenders will be expected to submit a recommendation on your behalf by July 31, 2020
