  • Quantitative Reasoning

These three sections have their own unique rules, regulations, and instructions.

Let’s see what that means.

Analytical writing

This section hinges on your rational thinking.

They expect you to imagine and defend your idea using arguments, logical principles, and valid examples.

It contains 2 questions, the argument task and the issue task which you are expected to answer in 1hour.

The maximum point that can be attained here is 6points.

If you’re great at maths, then here’s your strong point.

7–8 quantitative comparison questions
12–13 problem-solving questions.

Isn’t that amazing?

Only GRE lets you do that.
If you need to do this, pick the Score Select option after the test.

One important thing to note about the GRE is that you don’t get marked down for a wrong question so attempt all questions.

For how long is your GRE result valid?

Your GRE result is valid for 5 years after which you’ll have to retake the test if you need it for something else.

This test has worldwide popularity and as such, it is available in about 160 countries with over 1,000 test centres as statistics of 2020 shows.

For the countries that only have access to the paper-based test, the test can only be taken for 3 months: February, October, and November.

How much is the Registration Fee for GRE?

To write this test costs $205.

This fee applies to all countries, except for Australia, Nigeria, China, and India as an exception.

In Nigeria, the price is $226.

If by any chance, you register late, that attracts an additional $20 charge. If you postpone your exam for any reason, you also pay a $50 fine.

Do I need a High Score in GRE?

If you can get the best, why aim for less?

I mean, who doesn’t want a brilliant student in their school?

You also get greater funding eligibility if you have a high GRE score.

Aim for the maximum score of 340 which excludes that of the analytical section. This is your best bet.
