Things are getting normalised all over the world, and my country Nigeria is not left out. As such, the federal government of Nigeria decided to reopen all Universities in the federation on the 14th of September, 2020.

Well, Public University will not resume because the body known as  Academic Staff  Union of University- ASUU is on strike.

This has left Students in Public Universities disheartened after the long anticipation of resuming. But Private university is not affected, so they are on track.

That has been a major reason for most parent preference for Private Universities.

Covenant University in Nigeria has been ranked top private university in Nigeria.

Covenant University popularly referred to as CU was officially established on the 12th of February, 2012. In that year, the federal government of Nigeria gave the license to Covenant University to operate as a private University after verification and inspection of the facility and academic programmes.

The establishment of Covenant University was a part of the Liberation Commission of the Church ( Living Faith Church of God) of Bishop David Oyedepo. Covenant university ethos is based on Christian mission.

For your admission into Covenant University go to their website at www.covenantuniversity.edu.ng.  The application for admission is very easy and simple. Everything is done  online.

1). Requirements for Accounting:

Accounting is a 4 years course for Degree in B.Sc. You are required to have not less than five credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

• Mathematics,
• English Language
• Economics
• And any two (2) Commercial, Social science or Science Subjects.

2). Banking and Finance

Banking and Finance is a 4 years course for Degree in B.Sc.is a 4 years course for Degree in B.Sc. If you intend to study Banking and Finance, then you are required to have not less than five credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

• English Language
• Mathematics
• Economics
• Any two (2) Commercial, Social science or Science Subjects.

3). Business Administration

Find below requirement to study Business Administration, you are required to have not less than five credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

4). Economics

7). Mass Communication

B.Sc in Mass Communication duration is 4 years. If you intend to study Mass Communication (with option Journalism and Online Mass Communication and Broadcast), then you are required to have not less than five (5) credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

• English Language
• Mathematics
• Literature-in-English
• CRS
• Anyone (1) Commercial, Social science or Science Subjects.

8). Sociology

The duration to optain a B.Sc in Sociology is 4 years. If you intend to study Sociology, then you are required to have not less than five (5) credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

• Mathematics.
• English Language.

3). And any three (3) Commercial, Social Science or Arts  Subjects in any of the following subjects;

• History.
• Economics.
• Commerce.
• Government.
• Geography.
• Mathematics.
• Civic Education.
• Literature-in-English.
• Christian Religious Knowledge.

General O’Level Requirements

The general requirement for admission into CU (Covenant University) are 5 credit passes in your SSCE/GCE O’Level/NECO/NABTEB subjects or its equivalent in not more than 2 sittings.

The subjects must include Mathematics and Use of English Language.

Also, note that there are other requirements that may be needed for a particular college and/or a Department.

How to pay for Covenant University school fees

It is very simple and easy to pay the school fees and acceptance fees because everything is done online. And acceptance fees are inclusive in the school fees.

The procedure for payment includes: getting a notification slip which will include details of the school fees.

You just have to go to the portal www.covenantuniversity.edu.ng after getting to the bank to pay and generate a pin and receipt number using covenant university pin payment method.

At the bank, a pin number and receipt number will be given.

Then, you will input all necessary information after clicking on pay. If the information is  correct, click on proceed and click on print out receipt of payment.

This still  applies to admission applications. So easy and simple, remember everything is done online and there is nothing like giving someone money for that.

• The applicant writes an application to the Registrar or sends an e-mail to academicaffairs@covenantuniversity.edu.ng or call the Alumni official number: 07043618212 requesting for his/her transcript. ( or)
• The applicant obtains and fills a form at the Registry indicating:

1. Address of Institution to which transcript will be sent
2. Matriculation number
3. Programme/Sex/Class of Degree/Month and Year of graduation
4. Attach a copy of evidence of payment of processing fee (receipt) to the form filled.
