A two year leadership programme for our dairy sites

Arla’s Production Management Graduate Programme is a 2-year journey, starting 1st September 2021, where talented graduates can fast track a leadership career working at two different European production sites (Denmark, Sweden, UK or Germany) as outlined below.

1st Rotation: 6 months at Dairy A
2nd Rotation: 6 months at Dairy B (abroad)
3rd Rotation: 12 months back at Dairy A

Being part of our graduate programme, also means that you will join assigned leadership training camps in different markets, focusing on leading yourself, leading change, leading others and driving business. In addition, on-the-job as well as functional training will be closely linked to your role. Lastly, you will be assigned a personal buddy and a senior member of the supply chain leadership team to act as your mentor in order to ensure your professional growth and support throughout your journey with Arla Foods. You will also join a dynamic network of current and previous graduates to learn how to be a high performer in a global FMCG company andshare experiences.

Your 6 month rotation abroad gives you a unique and exciting opportunity to challenge yourself and get out of your comfort zone. In your second year, you will have the possibility to work as a Team Leader to put your skills to the test.

What makes a Production Management Graduate?

Our Production leaders need to make quick decisions in response to often unexpected complex situations. So it is imperative that you are a fast learner, have strong analytical skills and can perform in a fast paced environment. We are looking for people who enjoy challenging the status quo, hunting a root cause and providing new solutions with passion, energy and empathy. Someone, with the ambition to take the lead and deliver our production objectives.

Ideally, you have graduated in the last 1-3 years, or plan to graduate before September 2021, with either a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree. Preferably your education lies within Dairy, food science, engineering or production related subjects, but we are open for other backgrounds. In addition, it is essential that you:

  • Have the drive to deliver results and early on in your rotation be able to demonstrate Arla leadership behaviours.
  • Have an ambition to grow and to make a difference within your given environment.
  • Have an open and curious mindset enabling you to gain an insights into and understanding of Arla Foods as a whole.
  • Have managed to complement your studies with work experience.
  • Are geographically mobile and flexible within our European core countries.
  • Are fluent in English and ideally another of the following languages: Danish, Swedish or German.

Application and information

The application period for the PMG Programme runs from 2nd December 2020 to 24th January 2021.

As for now, the Assessment Centre will be conducted online in two steps in the spring of 2021.
We will evaluate the option of an on-site assessment centre in Denmark in April, depending on the applicable guidelines and travel regulations (due to Covid-19).
