Scholarship Details:
African Masters of Machine Intelligence (AMMI) focuses on basic research in the Machine Intelligence Industry. They are aimed at preparing resourceful Machine Intelligence (MI) researchers for the development of a wide range of applications that aligns with both present and future needs of Africa and the world as a whole.
Graduates of the AMMI program, will forge ahead to create and/or become genii in the Industrial, Public Research and Development laboratory in Africa and beyond. They will recuperate the African MI and scientific community by implementing all-around breakthroughs for the global good.
The African Masters of Machine Intelligence (AMMI) holds a role from among the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS); for the advancement of Machine Learning in the ecosystem.
Aims of the AMMI
To structure a foundation that depicts how Artificial Intelligence (AI) helps ensure better conditions for mainstream use.
To empower a revolutionary society with foresight and planning, to ensure technological improvements in Artificial Intelligence.
Scholarship Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or its equivalent from an accredited Institution;
- A minimum scholarly average of B (about 80%) or better
- A background or interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc. demonstrated through the courses and projects undertaken;
- Consent to mentor an undergraduate student at your previous institution during your time at AMMI; and also an AMMI student after graduation;
- Interest in solving mainstream problems using science and technology.

Candidates are to submit a complete CV stating their most recent experience. They should also attach the following documents:
Academic History
Applicants are required to upload their official transcripts along with your application. These should include transcripts from post-secondary institutions, including any other extension programs attended.
Academic records not issued originally in English or French should uploaded in their primary language with the certified English translations.

References
At least three references are required from each candidate. The Referrer would be contacted afterward to provide a recommendation letter on the candidate’s behalf. They will be required to give their honest account on the intellectual abilities, aptitude in research, professional skills, character, and qualities of the candidates.
Personal Statement
A 500-word (maximum) personal statement on the goals, academic achievements, and other important feats like projects, awards, online courses, among others related to AI and Machine Learning.
